Founded in 2001, Urban Solutions Training and Development (USTAD) is a Detroit-based 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to building healthy, confident, and resilient communities. We serve curvy and plus-size young women (ages 12–21), girls of all body types, and seniors (ages 55+) through impactful programs focused on education, wellness, mental health, and mentorship.

Our programs are designed to promote:

  • Confidence and resilience

  • Health and self-sufficiency

  • Positive self-image and mental well-being

Through our inclusive mentorship initiatives, USTAD empowers girls from all walks of life to embrace their full potential, make healthy choices, and become leaders in their communities. From youth to senior support, we provide tools for lifelong success—mind, body, and spirit.
